We have to be careful as the claims are sometimes larger than the actual usefulness.

(Claims are sometimes overdone, for instance, grapefruit can indeed impact the liver’s fat metabolizing process. BUT for any result, you’ll have to eat 40 grapefruits at a time for any result. (40 grapefruits contain more 1000 grams of sugar (5,000 calories). So YES “Grapefruit impacts your liver’s fat metabolizing” but NO it perhaps does not make sense to do so.)

Some popular superfood dietary supplements

  • Spirulina is high in protein supplements (about 60%). It is what they call a complete protein in that it contains all essential amino acids. High in vitamin B and minerals iron and manganese.
  • Chlorella Broken Cell (easier to digest) is rich in chlorophyll, a good source of protein, fats, fiber, carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals.
  • Wheatgrass powder is used as a good source of nutrients, loaded with vitamins A,  C, and E, iron, calcium, magnesium, and amino acids.
